I just found out that my photo got into CQ32! Being a student photography winner sort of came out of left field, but I have a soft spot for this one, so I'm pretty thrilled that the judges did too!

I just dusted my hands off from finishing my most recent commission, and I'm feeling pretty good about it! My ex-boss and friend asked me to paint the name of his blog on his coocase (scooter trunk, essentially) - this is in preparation for an epic cross-country scooter trip he is planning, so of course I was happy to oblige in the name of adventure (and hand-lettering practice~)

Here's a quick preview of a project to come - a study of what I think of as a mural, and some practice for myself in terms of composition, new media, and lettering.
Each lettered tile has an image of a place on the back, transferred from a regular ink-jet printout, and a 'mural' that I would like to paint in that spot.
